A Wide Variety of Programs for Residents Old and Young
Despite reductions in state funding and corresponding municipal budget cuts,
Weehawken Township and the Recreation Department continue to provide a wide variety
of free and low cost recreational programs to residents ages four and up.
The Township and the Recreation Department are working hard to continue to
offer the programs that are the most popular with our residents.

| Waterfront Park and Recreation Center | 1 Port Imperial Boulevard | Weehawken's Waterfront Park and Recreation Center is located along the banks of the Hudson River. The Park includes two small playgrounds, including Linear Park, (one of which is exclusively for toddlers) and the Hudson River Walk which traverses the edge of it. Recreation facilities include a multi-purpose turf soccer field, two softball fields (one of which is turf), a track, three tennis courts, and a work out area. PLEASE NOTE: The park is open from 7am to 10PM every day. Any organized activity or group play requires a permit from the Township.
