These vans terminate at the Port Authority Bus Terminal or along West 42nd Street.

The Weehawken Waterfront Shuttle provides township residents with FREE transportation between upper Weehawken and the waterfront during weekday rush hours. The buses allow residents to take advantage of the commuting, shopping and recreational opportunities on Weehawken's river front.

For your convenience, the bus will stop at every corner of each route to pick up or drop off Weehawken residents. Shuttle service is suspended at the following times, 11 - 11:30 am, 2:30 - 3pm, and 9 - 9:30pm. The shuttle routes are as follows:

Trains/Light Rail

NJ Transit's Hudson Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) provides Weehawken residents with transportation to Hoboken, Jersey City and Bayonne, allowing access to the PATH, NJ Transit Rail and NY Waterway ferries as well as Liberty State Park, the Liberty Science Center and the Newport Center Mall.

Directions:

From the West: When Approaching Weehawken from the west, you will follow signs for the Lincoln Tunnel. Merge onto NJ-495 E, and take the last exit in NJ "Weehawken/Hoboken". From there you are in Weehawken.

From the East/Lincoln Tunnel:
When Approaching Weehawken from the east and the Lincoln Tunnel, please get in the right lane and prepare to take one of the first two exits (Boulevard East or Park Avenue) from NJ-495 W.

From the Holland Tunnel:
When approaching Weehawken after exiting the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City:
Please get in the right lane and turn right onto Jersey Ave.
Turn left onto Jackson St,
Take the 2nd left onto Paterson Ave,
Continue onto Paterson Plank Rd,
Continue onto County Rd 683/Manhattan Ave/S Wing Viaduct,
Turn right onto 14th St/County Rd 670,
Turn left onto Park Ave.
Stay straight on Park Avenue and you will enter Weehawken, from Hoboken.

Stay to the left to avoid accidentally entering the Lincoln Tunnel.

From the George Washington Bridge:
When Approaching Weehawken from the GWB in Fort Lee:
Take exit 73 toward US-9W/NJ-67/Fort Lee
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Hudson Terrace.
Turn right onto Hudson Terrace.
Continue onto Main St.
Continue onto River Rd
Turn right onto 14th St/County Rd 670.
Depending on traffic, you may be on River Road anywhere from 15 - 30 mins.
Turn right onto Anthony M Defino Way.
Turn left onto JFK Boulevard East.
You will enter Weehawken from West New York along Boulevard East at 51st Street.

Traveling by Car/Parking
Weehawken is the final NJ municipality that drivers pass through on their way into the Lincoln Tunnel and New York City and the first municipality they pass through on thier way out of Lincoln Tunnel and into the rest of New Jersey.
Because of this, driving to, from, in, and around Weehaken can often be a challenge.
